Autumn Shurin, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Shurin, a native of Kansas City, MO, earned her undergraduate degree at Bates College in Maine, where she was awarded the Pomeroy Scholarship for Outstanding Graduate in Medicine. She earned her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Shurin has an interest in travel, including a six-month stay in Botswana where she tracked baboons, and clinical experience in both Australia and Costa Rica. She was also part of a humanitarian trip to help out several orphanages in Minsk. After completing her residency, she spent six years working at various private practices and pediatric urgent care facilities as well as doing travel medicine. She joined La Peer Pediatrics in May 2009. She is a happily married mother of three, boy and girl twins and their younger brother.

Judy Oranika, M.D.
Dr. Judy Oranika completed both her undergraduate and medical training at Howard University in Washington DC. There she developed a passion for serving the underserved and advocating for her patients.
Upon graduating from Howard University College of Medicine, she relocated to her dream city of Los Angeles to complete her residency training in Pediatrics at UCLA. As a resident, she was a part of the primary care and public health track. She also served as her program’s Resident Delegate to the American Academy of Pediatrics and served on the executive board of UACT, a multi-specialty advocacy collaborative.
After residency she joined La Peer Pediatrics where she continues to care for children of all backgrounds.
In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, exploring the LA food scene, and designing clothes.
Lauren R. Crosby, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Lauren Crosby is a nationally-recognized parenting expert and pediatrician. After graduating from Smith College and the UCLA School of Medicine, she trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center during which time she served as Chief Resident. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and an Official Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a Pediatric Expert for television news, serves on the Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, is a medical reviewer for What to Expect, and is a Founding Member of Hope in A Suitcase. She is currently in practice at La Peer Pediatrics as well as the mother of two sons.

Kimberly Z. Diamond, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Diamond, board certified in pediatrics, has been in private practice here at La Peer Pediatrics since 1996. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and then came west to the UCLA School of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was done at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she regularly rounds on her patients and participates in teaching the pediatric residents. Dr. Diamond was named one of Hollywood’s Top Doctors by the Hollywood Reporter in 2015. She is happily married and the proud mother of three children. Dr. Diamond feels honored that she can play a small part in so many families as their children grow up.
Judith G. Weiner, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Dr. Judith Weiner enjoys following her patients and their families from infancy through adulthood. She is a highly regarded pediatrician and actively involved as part of the teaching staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Weiner maintains a network of specialists and community physicians to help provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
During her career, Dr. Weiner has been honored by her peers and received special recognition as a top physician, designated as a super doctor by Los Angeles Magazine and the Southern California Womens’ Super Doctor list. A native Angeleno, Dr. Weiner graduated with honors from UCLA. She received the singular MERCK Manual Award for academic excellence from UCLA Medical School. During her residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, she gained extensive experience in complicated pediatric issues. Dr. Weiner has been recognized on Southern California Magazine’s Super Doctors list many times including the most recent issue for 2023.

Ronald A. Nagel, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Ron Nagel is a double board certified physician in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His pediatric residency was at Einstein and Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx followed by a two-year pediatric endocrine fellowship at UCLA Medical Center after moving back to Los Angeles.“Dr. Nagel Bagel,” as his patients fondly call him, has been in private practice in the Los Angeles area for nearly three decades. In addition to his pediatric practice, he lectures medical students and residents as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA where he has been awarded 8 Golden Apple Teaching Awards by the hospital “house staff.” He previously served as president of the Los Angeles Pediatric Society, and presently coordinates their continuing medical education program. Dr. Nagel has been recognized in 2023 Southern California Magazine’s Super Doctors and has been listed multiple times over the years.
Ron lives in Beverlywood with his wife Cheryl for over 35 years, and is the proud father of four sons. In addition to medicine, Ron has a wide array of interests including star gazing, stamp collecting, and close up magic.
